Hedge Trimming

Did more work on the egress window, but not worth showing.  I did manage to do some serious trimming on the shared hedge between my neighbor and I.  It had become so large an unmanageable that it was time to cut it back.  Didn't have a very good picture of it before, except for this shot I took of the car.

Here it is now.  It's almost 6' shorter in some areas.

You can actually see the house over the hedge now, where before you couldn't.  Right now it's thin and ugly, as we (my neighbor helped) cut so much out it exposed a lot of thin areas, but it will grow back in.  Plus, having it this short makes it much easier to maintain, as previously, even on a ladder you couldn't reach to trim the top.  Now you can reach everything with a hedge trimmer.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath.  Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down.  Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad.  Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat.  Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish.  Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.

Back Wall Done

Finally 100% done with the back wall of the house.  Windows installed, trim done, and paint. The windows will probably get pretty messy until I have time to install the edging and river rock along the edge, but that will come later.

Bathroom Waterproofing

Waterproofing the shower.  1 primer coat, 5 coats on the walls, 7 on the pan.  Tested and approved by the inspector.  Next is upper pan and then tile.
