Garage Bits

Mostly being lazy and working on the cars this weekend.  Did finally get around to doing a dump run. I did also finish my garage hack for all of the yard tools. As you can see I have one small sliver of drywall to put on as well.

More Garage

All cleaned up At this point all of the lighting, except for one last fixture are all done.  Once I get final electrical approval I'll float and tape the drywall.  I'll also be mounting some on the back door and the back wall later, but this isn't required for the permit I'm wrapping up. And here is the toy in her proper spot

Garage

Finally sold one of the cars, so I had room in the garage to get some long-overdue work done.  Got the 3-way lighting switch moved to a more accessible spot, and then installed the 5/8" drywall on the house side as required by code. Once I get the code inspection on the wiring, I can put the rest of the drywall up, which will finally make the garage look more like a finished space. Having the drywall up allowed me to start doing the conduit wiring for the lighting, and the power outlets.  The hanging fluorescent lights I'd been using weren't cutting it, so I decided to go with simple screw in base fixtures, with LED light bulbs.  Everything is encased in 3/4" schedule 40 pipes.  Overkill, but I wanted the job done right. There will be a total of 8 lights in the garage.  I've installed 7, the local hardware store only had 7 of the mounts that I needed for the job, so I'll do the last one later. Next on the todo is still in the garage, need to add some

Luna Chair

Found a good deal on Craigslist for another Luna chair.  I have a high-back one that I use in the Den.

Flooring Sample

Purchased one box of the wood flooring I'm planning to use on the house.  Set it up in a test patch in the office. It's a blonde oak look, should be fully sealed as is.  Probably still a few months out from actually putting flooring down, but wanted this to test the look, and I'll leave this batch down so I can verify durability.
