Color Change

Doing mostly wiring in the garage this weekend.  Ended up playing with the color I was using on the ceiling in the basement as a trim color and I really like it.  Too cold to paint much, but I did a test patch by redoing the trim above the garage.
Looks nicer than the blue I think.  Once it warms up I'll finish the paint on the garage, and update the trim (and finish the paint job on the house).  You can also see the lighting fixture that I added.  I converted this to use a 12v MR16 bulb, same as my landscape lighting, and tied it into that system.

Craigslist Find

I'm still using a lot of old Ikea Expedit stuff for storage.  It works, and is flexible, but not fancy.  Been on the lookout for something better.  Ran across this on CL for only $300, and got them to deliver. Right now it's just staged in the open area of the basement.  I should be able to finish the framing and drywall in the old theater, and I'll move these in there.

Paint

Had to get a coat of paint on before the rains hit.  Not completely sold on the blue trim, may due a dark brown or grey there instead, but a huge improvement over what it was.  Right now I only have one coat on, and haven't done the edging right, so it's a rough paint job, but it will tide the house over until I get a patch of good weather and can finish the job.

Basement Bathroom Progress

Just for reference, here is the original, claustrophobic, non-code-compliant basement bathroom. And here is progress on the much larger bathroom, even though to overall footprint is the same size. The shower has been expanded to fill the entire width, and the ceiling raised in the shower area.  The original was a generic shower stall, and was very dark and cramped.  This will be much brighter and while the dimensions are small, won't feel nearly as cramped.
