Landscaping Proposal

Talked to the permitting office and they want all kinds of permits and evaluations in order to do the parking pad and retaining walls in front of the house.  So, as the first part I did a very sloppy mockup of the plan.
Crushed rock parking pad with 4 tiered walls made out of grey basalt boulders in 1/2 man to 1 man size.  Based on my initial measurements I actually managed an even 6' of flat earth between the walls, with 10' of parking pad.  The ground between the walls will be level, the mockup shows some green between them just to show where the flat setback is.

Bathroom Waterproofing

Waterproofing the shower.  1 primer coat, 5 coats on the walls, 7 on the pan.  Tested and approved by the inspector.  Next is upper pan and then tile.

Harry Potter Hole

Harry Potter Hole, as my friends started calling it, has had its internal trim installed, and I've put paint on the shelving below it.  This will look good once the flooring is installed.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath.  Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down.  Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad.  Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat.  Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish.  Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.
