Drywall

Decided to test my drywall skills on a simple wall in the basement.  It will be bounded by walls covered with stone veneer, so it's easy to work on this wall in isolation.  First shot with just the rough drywall up.
First float and tape without sanding
And one coat of primer over the final product
Texture turned out ok.  I'm sure I can do better on the remaining walls.  The upper and lower extremities will be covered by trim, so they weren't finished much.  Once it all dries I'll get it painted and put the sliding doors back on.  I'll probably also do the upper and side trim to see how that looks.

Bathroom Waterproofing

Waterproofing the shower.  1 primer coat, 5 coats on the walls, 7 on the pan.  Tested and approved by the inspector.  Next is upper pan and then tile.

Harry Potter Hole

Harry Potter Hole, as my friends started calling it, has had its internal trim installed, and I've put paint on the shelving below it.  This will look good once the flooring is installed.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath.  Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down.  Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad.  Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat.  Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish.  Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.
