Catching Up

Been too busy to post, need to catch up.

Office drywall finished.

Originally I started installing the removable ceiling
But decided it wasn't worth the fuss and the result wouldn't look good enough, so I leveled the beams and installed drywall, which is ready for sanding now
It will be painted dark to match the rest of the basement, and have trim moulding around the edge to hide the transition.

Also chose to frame and drywall the last wall in the landing area

Bathroom Waterproofing

Waterproofing the shower.  1 primer coat, 5 coats on the walls, 7 on the pan.  Tested and approved by the inspector.  Next is upper pan and then tile.

Harry Potter Hole

Harry Potter Hole, as my friends started calling it, has had its internal trim installed, and I've put paint on the shelving below it.  This will look good once the flooring is installed.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath.  Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down.  Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad.  Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat.  Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish.  Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.
