Harry Potter Hole

Harry Potter Hole, as my friends started calling it, has had its internal trim installed, and I've put paint on the shelving below it.  This will look good once the flooring is installed.

Bathroom Waterproofing

Waterproofing the shower.  1 primer coat, 5 coats on the walls, 7 on the pan.  Tested and approved by the inspector.  Next is upper pan and then tile.

Kitchen Progress

Backsplash tile almost done, just need to install the outlets and faceplates.

Laundry Done

Here is a picture of the original laundry room And now

Laundry and Bathroom

Got the backsplash done in the laundry room, next I need to finish the plinth and that room is done. And have the primer coat. And first sealing coat of waterproofing done one the basement bathroom It will probably need 2-3 more coats before it's ready for inspection.

Basement Bathroom Progress

Just for reference, here is the original, claustrophobic, non-code-compliant basement bathroom. And here is progress on the much larger bathroom, even though to overall footprint is the same size. The shower has been expanded to fill the entire width, and the ceiling raised in the shower area.  The original was a generic shower stall, and was very dark and cramped.  This will be much brighter and while the dimensions are small, won't feel nearly as cramped.

Basement Bathroom Started

Removed all of the remaining tile and finished a level coat. Got the floor studs mounted.

Sod

Finally getting sod installed in the back yard.

Finalizing Wall

Busy building the steps for the back yard wall And cleaning up the ground in preparation for sod.

Rock Wall

Pictures showing the gradual process creating the back yard rock wall.

Lotta Rock

Got all the landscaping rock moved to the back yard.  Gonna need a rest day after this.

Finished Paint

All exterior paint, siding, and trim is done.

Exterior Paint

Finally getting around to painting the North and South sides of the house.  The East and West are already painted.

Downpipes

House had ugly plastic downpipes for the roof drainage that's annoyed me for a while. Replaced with galvanized metal pipes.  Also starting to correct the trim color around the top of the downpipes.
