Masonry Skim Coat

Now that we have some decent weather, I got the skip coat of concrete put on the cinder block.  Here is the before
and the after
I didn't worry too much about making it perfect, as most of this will be under dirt anyway, but wanted it to blend in a little better than the raw cinder block, and have a little better water barrier than just cinder block alone.  Came out better than I expected.  Once it dries I'll put some tar sealant on the lower part, paint the upper to match the rest of the foundation, and then get to work on redoing the window well.

Bathroom Waterproofing

Waterproofing the shower.  1 primer coat, 5 coats on the walls, 7 on the pan.  Tested and approved by the inspector.  Next is upper pan and then tile.

Harry Potter Hole

Harry Potter Hole, as my friends started calling it, has had its internal trim installed, and I've put paint on the shelving below it.  This will look good once the flooring is installed.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath.  Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down.  Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad.  Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat.  Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish.  Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.
