Theater Ceiling

Finally got the ceiling in the theater room leveled.  Turns out leveling it is easy, and would be even easier to do during the original install.  Here is a picture of the end result.
The veneer beams are cedar 2x4's, cut smooth, sanded, and then treated with danish oil.  The overall look works well.  It also has the designed benefit of being removable, should I need to do electrical or plumbing work in the future.  Here is a progress shot showing the beams being prepped.

Accent Paint

Here the paint is about 1/2 done, so with one coat it's a little splotchy on the wall, but gives a good feel for the color.

Harry Potter Hole

Harry Potter Hole, as my friends started calling it, has had its internal trim installed, and I've put paint on the shelving below it.  This will look good once the flooring is installed.

Listening Room Paint

First coat of paint on in the basement listening room.  Shows the potential, but it will definitely need a 2nd coat: Electronics room too: Next comes trim and covering the ceiling. A pretty big improvement considering it looked like this when I moved in: And until recently it looked like this:
