Theater Ceiling

Finally got the ceiling in the theater room leveled.  Turns out leveling it is easy, and would be even easier to do during the original install.  Here is a picture of the end result.
The veneer beams are cedar 2x4's, cut smooth, sanded, and then treated with danish oil.  The overall look works well.  It also has the designed benefit of being removable, should I need to do electrical or plumbing work in the future.  Here is a progress shot showing the beams being prepped.

Figuring out a plan for the sunken area, cleared it all out.  Will likely need to deal with the chimney first.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath.  Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down.  Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad.  Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat.  Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish.  Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.

Bathroom Waterproofing

Waterproofing the shower.  1 primer coat, 5 coats on the walls, 7 on the pan.  Tested and approved by the inspector.  Next is upper pan and then tile.
