Master Bedroom Layout

This shows the old layout and new layout. The images show with a queen size mattress in the room. This shows how it barely fit in the old layout.

The demolition is taking longer than expected. They really overbuilt the framing. Each door has a 4x8 header over it, and it seems as if the construction team was paid by the nail.

Here is the pile of all the non-reusable wood I pulled out.

Right now I have all the framing out, and most of the drywall, but will need to remove some more drywall before I'm done with demo.

Paint

Had to get a coat of paint on before the rains hit. Not completely sold on the blue trim, may due a dark brown or grey there instead, but a huge improvement over what it was. Right now I only have one coat on, and haven't done the edging right, so it's a rough paint job, but it will tide the house over until I get a patch of good weather and can finish the job.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath. Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down. Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad. Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat. Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish. Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.

Figuring out a plan for the sunken area, cleared it all out. Will likely need to deal with the chimney first.
