More Demo

Doesn't look like much, but a couple of hours of work and now I have this:
They had built up about 8 2x10's as a cross support all nailed together.  Getting that out took a while.  I've also removed the framing and remaining drywall from the back wall.  Later this week I'll work on getting the stairway framing done.  If all goes well I hope to finish that sometime next weekend.

Ugly Float and Tape

Getting started on the float and tape job on the upstairs half bath.  Pretty ugly so far. This is just the first coat, which is really intended to just get the tape down.  Looks ugly, but it's actually not bad.  Won't know for sure how it will look till the last coat.  Plan is to do a texture-free level 5 finish.  Not sure if I'll be able to pull it off or not, worst case if it doesn't pan out I can just throw some texture up.
