Found a leak in the roof last week, at first it was a small drip, but then it rapidly got worse. I guess I was lucky I hadn't put the carpet in yet. After fighting with a some roofing guys who couldn't be bothered to show any sign of urgency, I got frustrated and went up, cleaned everything off and found 2 spots where a brach had fallen and punched holes in the roof. I didn't notice them initially when I examined the roof, only when I took a push broom up there and cleaned it off. Patched them up myself, saved about $500-$750 doing it myself, which was what the roofing guys wanted. There's enough water in the envelope that it's still dripping a little, but a lot less. It should stop over the next few days if I've patched it right, and won't know 100% till the next rain this weekend. But, I should be good to go.
